Since 1910, Scouting has helped mold the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes and, through more than a century of experience, understands that helping youth puts us on a path toward a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.

Scouting, with programs for young men and women, helps meet these six essential needs of the young people growing up in our society:

  • Mentoring

  • Lifelong Learning

  • Faith Traditions

  • Serving Others

  • Healthy Living

  • Building Character

Troop 20 leadership is dedicated to providing Scouting opportunities. We camp 8 to 10 weekends per year and spend a week at Summer Camp. Scouts learn to work as a team and take care of each other. The adventures and activities produce opportunities to learn to be a leader. We perform service projects for the benefit of our community. Past service projects include working with Middletown Safety Counsel to prepare equipment for the Safety Town program and providing Christmas Holiday meals to clients of the Middletown Counseling Center and the Hope House Women’s Shelter.
